"Events and the Age of the Moon" is a collection of major disasters and affairs in the 20th century, classified by the age of the moon for the day when they occurred. Events are presented in order of dates starting with new ones and moving backward to the old ones. The date of each event is based on local time.
Events from all over the world being covered, the age of the moon for each occurrence date is determined based on noon of Greenwich Mean Time (UT).
The age of the moon is calculated to the first decimal place, where the figure is rounded.
